OLIVER Director: Karl Picton Producer: Ralh Boyce Oliver combined our Junior and Adult groups on stage - a first for the group - which meant that children's parts, like Oliver, are played by children while adults are cast in parts like, Fagin, Bill Sykes and Nancy. Oliver' is a musical by Lionel Bart, based on the Victorian novel by Charles Dickens which highlighted the plight of street urchins on London's streets during that era. This may sound a sad story but in fact Oliver' is a celebration with amusing dialogue and songs including 'Food, glorious food', 'Consider yourself' and 'As long as he needs me'. Oliver was great entertainment for all the family.
